Any New News?:

Well... the latest update here at buncomberifles.com, apart from the cheezy picture at left, amounts to having created sign-up opportunities for all of the Region's upcoming stuff, at least that I know about thus far.

Please click this link or the many others floating aimlessly around the site to avail yourselves of this service. Remember to check back in often so this year's officer staff have a fighting chance of knowing who can get to what when!

From the Sergeant-Major:

We're having another attempt at the range clean-up and shooting day. This coming Saturday, August 9th. Details at right.

A possible new practice range?!?

The contact and discussion process is in its earliest of stages, but it could be a near-future thing!

The Buncombe Rifles are the modern re-creation of a North Carolina State Militia unit which was formed just before the start of the American Civil War. The original unit was from the city of Asheville, Buncombe County, in the mountainous western region of North Carolina, hence the name.

A member organization of the North-South Skirmish Association, we are dedicated to the honor and preservation of the memory of the valiant people and the deeds they performed during the War of Northern Aggression. In addition, we strive to promote marksmanship skill with the military weapons of that period through "skirmishing".
